Visit to Anna and Family in Lusaghbyur Village - Lori - 12/26/20

One of our regular pre-holiday visits was to Anna's family, and was made possible by AGBU-AYA San Fernando Valley Scouts. Anna's family are residents of Lusaghbyur village in Lori Province. This is where they earned their living by various labor jobs(mostly taking care of others' cows, work in fields, etc, most of which were seasonal), and the house lacked basic living necessities.

Our visit fundamentally changed the life of the family․ First of all, we bought a pregnant cow for the family, which will give them fresh dairy products every day in addition, the cow will have a calf in 2-3 months. Furthermore, the cow will become a small but permanent source of income for the family. As they multiply their livestock, their income will increase accordingly. Right now, with our calculations, 1 cow gives about $250-300 income monthly.

In addition to the cow, we gave them a refrigerator, a washing machine, a gas stove, an electric kettle, for which the mother simply could not express her excitement and feelings. We provided them with food for to last them 1 year (as an initial boost) so that they don't have to spend money on it, gave them clothes, necessary items, toys, which made the children happier.

Such visits are like a dream come true for a poor family, as they change the daily status of an entire family within minutes and give a very promising future to a hard-working family.

Thank you for being a part of the miracle
