In Loving Memory of Marie Kaloustian, with donations in her honor, Aid Beyond Borders team was able to visit 4 families and get them out of severe poverty.
The second family was Lilit Mkrtchyan's family whom our team visited on October 19. There are 3 underage children growing up in the family, whose father used to collect potatoes for daily pay to feed them. Needless to say that there were days children were without food and proper nutrition.
As usual, we gave this family a pregnant cow which will give them up to 15 liters of milk daily plus a calf in about a month. We also gave them an electric oven, a washing machine, food to last them about a year, clothes and toys for the children.
Lilit hugged the cow with joy. She said this is the happiest day of her life. The children came running from school to see everything in person. It was simply impossible to describe the happiness of the family in words.
We have high hopes that this family will be able to get back up soon after our visit. God bless you, Kaloustian family and friends. Mariam Kaloustian Sossi Badalian Aram Kaloustian
