In Loving Memory of Marie Kaloustian, with donations in her honor, Aid Beyond Borders team was able to visit 4 families and get them out of sever poverty.
The first family was Meline's family, who lived in poor conditions, where the father of the family had gone to Russia to earn a living and support his family, but his legs were broken in an accident. So he had to return back to Armenia. At the time of our visit, he was sitting idle at home with broken legs.
We gave the family a pregnant cow, a refrigerator, an electric oven for baking bread, a washing machine, and of course a sewing machine, which Meline had asked from us to make a living sewing and doing alterations. We also took 1 year of food and clothing, so that they don't have to spend money on those for a long time and save it for other expenses.
Meline and her husband were very surprised, and all the neighbors came and thanked us for helping them. Meline was very happy for the sewing machine, she said she would start sewing, and that she would have good income from the cow and sewing machine.
We are sure that in a short time this family will be able to stand up and take care of all the needs of their underage children.
