Visit to Family in Nor Kharberd - 1/29/17

Dear Friends,

Our team headed to Nor Kharberd today, to reach out to a family, whom we found in a very bad condition, where children didn't have anything to eat except for old bread. This family consisted of 4 children, all girls, a grandmother with health problems, children's father has heart failure, and mom was the only one working, not able to make ends meet.

First of all, let me start off by saying that the girls are A students at their school. They long for new information and I am sure, they will become a great asset to our Motherland one day.

We took this family lots of things, as I mentioned in the campaign, everything went as planned. We took them a refrigerator, electric stove, oven, electric kettle, iron, one large and one small bed, TV, firewood which will last them the whole winter if not more, 20 live chicken and a rooster (since they wanted to multiply the chickens in the future). We also took them lots of dry and canned food, to last them at least 8 months. In addition, we took them dairy and meat products, vegetables, grains, canned food, warm clothing for the whole family, hygiene supplies, and of course, for children, toys, stationery, sweets etc.

The sisters were especially very happy with their gifts. Because they didn't have any toys, they couldn't believe that what we took them were theirs, holding each one of them in their hands, and were roaming around the house like that. And the grandmother brought some of the firewood, and finally, their house, which lacked warmth, was warm and cozy again.

Friends, I hope that our visit will change this family's life. The parents want to increase the number of chicken, which will bring them good income. We hope that our visit gives them hope to look for a brighter future for their family. The boost that we gave today, will definitely be the beginning of their new life, and they will not think about how to get food for their children.

I thank you for your generosity. Thank you for sharing a little bit of your bread with the poor.

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we don't give up" Galatians 6:9

God bless you all!
